One Mile To Go, LLC Riding School provides everything the student needs to be successful. This includes the horses, tack, helmets, and study materials. The only thing our students must bring to each lesson is proper riding attire. We want each student to have fun, learn lots, and not be worried about having to invest in everything horse related until they are ready! Students are required to commit to lessons for at least a month, so you can get the most out of your learning experience. Lessons are offered to ages 6 and up and include adults!
Private
If you have never ridden with One Mile To Go, LLC, you are required to start in our private 40-minute lesson. This gives the instructors one-on-one time to assess your basic knowledge and ability around horses. Most students will spend one season building their confidence and riding abilities before they are ready to move to a group class.

Group
Once you have passed your basic knowledge assessment in our private lessons, you have the choice to move to a 45-minute group lesson. You would be paired with at least two other student riders who are at about the same knowledge and ability level. During these lessons you are able to learn from each other and the instructor to start learning more teamwork!

Unmounted
These lessons offer a vast array of knowledge from the ground. While you won't be riding horses during these lessons, you may be practicing hoof care, studying parts of the horse and equipment, or learning barrel patterns on stick horses!

Playdays!
During the riding season, we take qualified students to different playdays around the area. These are all day events where riders get to compete in some of the events we practice during lessons, This includes barrel racing, candy bar races, key races, pole racing and bareback riding! Depending on how well they do, prizes may be awarded at the end of day!
